Race day is just around the corner! The 2025 Liffey Descent will start at 11am on Saturday 18th October. Registration takes place from 5-8pm Fri 17th Oct at the Garda Boat Club in Islandbridge. October temperatures are likely to be lower than usual for the race so make sure to dress appropriately. We are still waiting on a final confirmation from the ESB on the exact water levels for the race so stay tuned.

Final Bulletin

  • You must bring your PFD/ buoyancy aid to Friday registration to have your timing chip fitted.
  • At registration on Friday you will collect your race bib, food and t-shirt voucher. Take care with these as they will not be replaced.
  • T-shirt vouchers can be redeemed on Friday or Saturday.
  • Campers are to set up their pitches at the river end of the site at the Garda Boat Club. The rest of the site will be used for parking.
  • To access the race start use Lady Castle Gate in the K-Club, this will be clearly signposted. Do not use the main gate. Lady Castle gate will be open from 7:00am on the race morning.
  • AParking at the race start is limited so we would request participants carpool where possible.
  • The shuttle bus to the start will leave the race finish area at 8:30am.
  • There will be a coffee truck at the race start and race finish.
  • To park at the finish there is no parking beside GAA club house from 9:30am-2pm (St Brendans GAA Club at race finish).
  • Park on the side of the pitch furthest from the club house and along on the river side of the pitch and roadside of the pitch –
  • A food truck will be at the Garda Club selling hot food on Saturday.
  • There will be no alcohol sold at the Garda Boat Club.
  • Please return your timing chip when you finish the race.
  • A finishers medal will be presented to all who cross the finish line.
