Tomorrow is race day! The 2024 Liffey Descent will start at 12pm on Saturday 11th May. Registration takes place from 5-8pm Fri 10th May at the Garda Boat club in Islandbridge. We are expecting great weather for the race so are reminding all participants to ensure they are carrying adequate hydration with them and are wearing sun cream.
Final Bulletin
- You must bring your PFD/ buoyancy aid to Friday registration to have your timing chip fitted.
- At registration on Friday you will collect your race bib, food and t-shirt voucher. Take care with these as they will not be replaced.
- T-shirt vouchers can be redeemed on Friday or Saturday.
- Campers are to set up their pitches at the river end of the site at the Garda Boat Club. The rest of the site will be used for parking.
- To access the race start use Lady Castle Gate in the K-Club, this will be clearly signposted. Do not use the main gate. Lady Castle gate will be open from 7:30am on the race morning.

- Parking at the race start is limited so we would request participants carpool where possible.
- The shuttle bus to the start will leave the race finish area at 9:15am.
- There will be a coffee truck at the race start.
- No parking in the GAA pitch until 1 pm (St Brendans GAA Club at race finish).
- No parking on the upstream side of the GAA pitch. Only park in front of the clubhouse, on the river side of the pitch and roadside of the pitch –
- A food truck will be at the Garda Club selling hot food on Saturday.
- There will be no Alcohol sold at the Garda Boat Club.
- Please return your timing chip when you finish the race.
- A finishers medal will be presented to all who cross the finish line.
