We’ve made a change to the minimum age for the Adult & Child class in two-person boats. The minimum age for the junior paddler has been reduced from 16 to 14 years. This change applies only to junior paddlers in a double boat with an adult.
The junior paddler must be 14 years of age or older and have the skills and experience required to safely complete the race.
The update provides more opportunities for younger paddlers to experience the Liffey Descent alongside an adult, making it an even better event for families to take on together.
