Race Bulletin #2
All paddlers should be of Level 3 standard or have similar ability. Both air and water temperatures are likely to be lower in October so make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions.
All competitors must bring their PFD to registration to have their timing chip attached. These timing chips are the new tracking method for more precise timing.
Registration and bib collection will take place on Friday 17th of October 5-8pm at the Garda Boat Club for collection of –
- Bibs
- Voucher for race T shirt
- Food voucher
- Tracking chip
If you retire from the race or have injury contact the nearest marshal.
Please ensure you return your timing chip at race finish. If you retire from the race please ensure you return your timing chip to race control.
Camping is available for Friday and Saturday night at the finish area. We have had a lot of requests for camping so please consider others when pitching your tents.
With the shorter daylight hours we would advise participants and supporters to bring a torch to help with packing up equipment and boats at the finish.
Saturday morning bus is for paddlers not boats. Shuttle bus will leave the Garda Boat Club 8:30am. Race Start 11am.
